Wright's Quarter Horses is located in
California's beautiful central coast. At Wright's Quarter Horses
we are very proud of our broodmare band. They are the ongoing process of
trying to keep the very best mares we can. Our mares include own
daughters of Smokum Oak, Grays Starlight, Just Plain Colonel, Doc O
Lena, Smart Little Lena, Meradas Money Talks, Peppy San Badger, Doc's
Hickory and Docs Tom Tucker and many granddaughters of Doc Bar.
Wright's Quarter Horses is home to NRCHA Champion and Champion producer-
Smokum Oak. In 2005, we will be standing the AQHA stallions,
Mr Hollywood Rooster (Gallo Del
Cielo x Ms Hollywood Doc by Doc's Prescription) and
Joe Derringer (Play Gun x Joie
Starlight). We are a full service breeding facility and shipped semen is
available for both stallions.
Our foals are weaned and then raised
in the mountains until they are two year olds, at which time they are
brought home to be started and sold. Our foals and training horses are
not only ridden in the arena, but also learn to go to the hills and do
practical ranch work. They are worked on cattle, buffalo and some
are roped on. All have a basic foundation to go on and be working
cow horses, reiners, cutters, versatility horses or just about whatever
you choose to do with them. We always have foals and older horses
for sale, along with futurity prospects. We currently have yearlings and
two year olds for sale by Mr
Hollywood Rooster , Joe Derringer
and Smokums Prize.
Besides horse sales and training, we also offer lessons for children to
adults- beginners to advanced and
Wright's Equine Supply
where we offer a full line of tack, saddles and horse supplies, as well
as consignments and special orders. We are a Northern California
distributor for the equine supplement-
Freedom Blocks.
